Technology
The technology launched by Lawrenceville in the 21st century is an extremely important to the school. But computers are the most useful to Lawrenceville. One of the greatest aspect of having a computer is keeping in touch with the whole school on campus. The way Lawrenceville does this is through a program called blackboard, which allows you to view your classes, personal information etc. having this helps you have a reliable resource to what you need to know during each semester. Giving you access to the homework every night and having the syllabus posted with it, just incase you didn’t write it down. It also includes the sports schedule giving everyone what they have that day for there sports team or when they want to watch a game. As well as a house letter everyday on some of the most important activities going on during that day or of that week. But the finest feature of blackboard is the Lawrenceville email, every student and teacher on campus has one to get in touch with. This is very obliging  due to the fact that you can send them emails anytime on confusion on the homework or the due dates of them. The email system lets the school and teachers email you information on class and other subjects too. However I feel the one major object Lawrenceville could modify blackboard to make it more useful is if the could modify it around the shape of Google calendar. I know that blackboard has a calendar but the one on Google is on the homepage and feels easier to add classes, consultation and sporting events.

  1. Hey Kevin,

Great post on Blackboard! I used this in college and loved it; I wish they used it here at GHS! Where did you get the information about Lawrenceville by the way? I haven't shown you how to cite sources on the web yet but it's generally a good practice to link to a website you've used for information.
